OOTN: Valentine’s Day

Picking out the perfect outfit for Valentine’s Day dinner is easy. Just stick to the time-honored tradition of wearing red, pink or white, add in some sparkle or florals, finish with dainty jewelry, and you’re done!

I worked that combo in this outfit. This black off-the-shoulder blouse is from Fashion Q, a boutique in Rancho Cucamonga that I love. The floral print is perfect for Valentine’s Day. And the satiny fabric makes the top ideal for a special occasion.

I paired it with this red pencil skirt, also from Fashion Q. I have this pencil skirt in every color available because it is so figure-flattering. Normally, I tuck in blouses to pencil skirts. But the way this top flares out (not quite peplum but similar) makes it the perfect compliment to a form-fitting skirt. I also love the way the red skirt emphasizes the red flowers.

These black suede ankle booties are from Payless. Normally I wear more comfortable ankle booties with block heels or wedges, but these stiletto booties give a dressed-up vibe that is necessary for VDay.

In keeping with the “dainty jewelry” tradition of Valentine’s Day, I added this gold “B” monogram necklace from Ettika and a gold bangle, also from Ettika.

What are you wearing out tonight? Are you going on a date, or out with your girlfriends? Let me know in the comments!
