I love scarves! Not thick, woolen knit scarves, but thin, flowy, summery scarves.
Here in LA, it can get a bit cold in winter, but definitely not cold enough for an actual scarf. If you were to wear an actual coat and a scarf you would overheat for sure. That’s why I enjoy buying thin scarves.
Thin scarves keep your neck warm and look super seasonal. But the best part about them is that you don’t overheat in them, so you can keep them on all day. This translates into basically making them an accessory, like a necklace or statement coat.
I love wearing solid-colored long-sleeved dresses and topping them off with a thin, colored, patterned scarf. Often I wrap them around my neck loosely. Sometimes I play with proportions and let shorter scarves hang straight down with longer dresses. Either way, a pretty scarf is a great way to accessorize an outfit and look perfect for winter without being too warm.
Below are some of my favorite scarves and where I bought them!
