Shameless Foodie: E.A.T.

Today, I’m back with another delicious Old Town Temecula gem. A lifelong vegetarian, I appreciate when cafes make delicious plant-based food. Although E.A.T. (short for Extraordinary Artisan Table) isn’t a vegetarian or vegan restaurant, it does focus on”Good Food: clean eating with locally sourced ingredients, small batch provisions and options for traditional, paleo, gluten-free and plant-based diets.

My boyfriend and I were positively drooling over the online menu, so we decided to stop by for a weekend brunch.

Choosing items to order was really difficult. I ended up ordering the SoCal Girl (organic farm eggs, fontina cheese, pesto aioli and grilled ciabatta) with egg whites. Sean opted to build his own acai bowl.

And of course we couldn’t leave without getting dessert – this gluten-free mocha doughnut was one of the best doughnuts I have ever had.

E.A.T. also offers an in-store deli with meats, cheeses and sides like pasta salads and vegetables, and an in-store bakery with delectable traditional and gluten-free desserts. They’ll also make smoothies and milkshakes at their on-site coffee bar! On your way out, you can hit up the small grocery store, with to-go snacks and supplements. It’s crazy how they fit so much in one little store!
