One of my favorite wineries to visit in Temecula Wine Country is Miramonte Winery. The vibe is fun, young and vibrant. Plus, they have great food and a dog-friendly outside patio!
I recently took my mom to lunch at Miramonte Winery. She doesn’t drink wine, but she does love good food.
I enjoyed a glass of Miramonte’s signature red sangria (they are also known for their white sangria).
For lunch, I opted for the Veggie Redux flatbread, which boasts mushrooms, Sweety Drop peppers (fun bulbous shaped red peppers), shaved garlic, red onion, parsley, marinara and a four cheese blend. Mom was happy with her BBQ Chicken flatbread (chicken, homemade BBQ sauce, red onion, cilantro, poblano peppers, marinara and four cheese blend).
In the past, I’ve ordered the Fromage and Tomato appetizer (blistered cherry tomatoes in a skillet with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, capers, artisan cheese and crispy bread). This dish is meant to feed like 100 people but I can easily and happily down it by myself.
Flower Hill Bistro also serves up fresh greens, mac & cheese, burgers and charcuterie. Their menu is pretty small, but is satisfies many different cravings. Plus, you can’t beat a nice shady patio that often has a live band to entertain!
