Finding good frozen vegetarian food is not always easy. I’m used to eating the same 5 Smart Ones and Lean Cuisine TV dinners for the past decade. So when something new comes out, I HAVE to jump on it!
Sweet Earth is a company that focuses on making exclusively vegetarian food inspired by dishes and cusines all over the world. They have just released a new line of vegetarian frozen quesadillas that you can either microwave or heat on the skillet.
I taste-tested all the flavors. Salsa Prime (Chipotle vegan meat, black beans, corn, cilantro, tomatillos, mozzarella and cheddar cheese) was definitely my favorite. I love the southwest-inspired flavors.

My second favorite was Aloha BBQ (BBQ vegan meat, pineapple, pinto beans, jalape’o peppers and vegan cheddar cheese). I also enjoyed the Mile High quesadilla, which is breakfast-inspired with vegan ham, cage-free eggs, bell peppers, onions and cheddar cheese.

There’s a fourth flavor, Mindbender, which features vegan Tuscan meat, saut?ed mushrooms, poblano peppers, garlic and pepper jack cheese. Unfortunately, I couldn’t bear to taste the Mindbender as I hate mushrooms! I tried to heat it up and just the smell was too much.

The quesadillas are a nice size for a small meal, or a snack, and are easy to make.
