What I Wore: New Year’s Eve 2015!

New Year’s Eve is the day of the year when girls get to really go all out with the glitter, sequins and sparkle! I think women should be able to go overboard with the sparkles every day of the year, but modern fashion doesn’t always agree with me. So instead I wait for NYE and go crazy!2015-01-01 09.08.17

This adorable dress is from Forever 21. I shopped early this year, because last year (and the year before) I tried to find a dress between Christmas and NYE and it did NOT work out. This year I think Forever 21 learned its lesson – the store was stocked with tons of sparkly, sequined little things from November through December!

I chose a white dress because I try to not wear black at night. Sometimes it’s inevitable, but if I get a choice, I go for white or a rich jewel tone dress to stand out from the sea of black.2015-01-02 18.29.33

Ths dress fit so well! It was tight enough in the bodice to show that I have full boobs, but high-necked so no cleavage – appropriate for any event. The fitted waist shows off my small waist, and the flared skirt is too cute. It’s lined, so no worries about the white being see-through.

The best part, though, is the abundance of sequins. The gold and silver are so perfect for NYE, and gives you the option to accessorize with either gold or silver shoes and jewelry!

I tried on the dress with my gold snakeskin bebe heels, my silver sparkly heels from Payless Shoesource, and my gigantic nude suede platform heels from Brash/Payless. Ultimately, I opted for the nude suede heels because a) they are SO COMFORTABLE and b) they are neutral, and don’t detract from the sparkles in the dress.

I felt cute, comfortable and festive all night!
